Job description

Established General Contractor specializing in Insurance Restoration and Renovation seeks self motivated & detail orientedAccounts Receivable & Accounts Payableindividual to join our team. This office is fast paced, and ability to multi task necessary.

Overview: This position is responsible for contacting vendors, material suppliers and in some instances clients to not only make payments on our own outgoing bills, but also to arrange for clients to pay their invoices

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establishes weekly goals and objectives with manager/supervisor
  • Mails invoices/statements to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
  • Reviews terms of customer sales/service contracts and determines payment schedule.
  • Confers with customers by telephone in attempt to determine payment schedule
  • Sorts and files correspondence on sub contractor and material vendor invoices
  • Prints, sorts and mails billing of outstanding account balances.
  • Team player, and willing to cross train with other administrative staff
  • Reviews delinquent accounts for forwarding to collection attorney Maintains daily and weekly activity reports
  • Record notes for all significant changes in account status
  • Encourage profitability while managing risk, on a daily basis, during invoice review and payment process
  • Engage Controller in a timely manner, when necessary
  • Prepare for and participate in A/R & A/P meetings, on a weekly basis
  • Prepare construction liens and waivers
  • Provide back up for reception when necessary
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements: Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have a strong understand of the Microsoft Office suite Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in Construction, Insurance Restoration and or REO related fields is A MUST
  • Experience with PSA or Quick Books is a plus
