Job Summary
The Operation Support Lead reports directly to the Operation Support Manager and is responsible for all aspects of the Operation Support Coordinator.
The maintenance of a satisfactory quantity and quality of work safety, apportioning and scheduling assigned work, observing and analyzing the methods used and the results achieved, bring problems to the attention of the Operation Support Manager and assist management in the utilization of tools, equipment and materials. The Lead Agent will be a crucial supporting role in all aspects of import/export cargo matters.
Responsibilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 WMP and the ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge to learn PC skills and apply knowledge.
  • Address and adapt to on job situations that require immediate resolution
  • Review OST-Coordinator routine reports and correspondence, assist/finalize improvement analysis reports before submitting to OST-Manager
  • Enforce company's Standard Operating Procedures and policies
  • Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations
  • Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulation
  • Coordinate and delegate project assignments with OST-Coordinator
  • Perform hands on training to improve efficiency/effectiveness for all import/export cargo functions

Minimum Requirements
  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and Port Authority or Airport Authority (if applicable) permit to use ramp side service roads.

Preferred Skills
  • Previous lead experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of company operations
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of Worldwide Flight Services Rules and Regulations.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
