Job description

NPs in Bloom - Join Lavender's Talent Pool for Nurse Practitioners
Lavender is the largest nurse-founded and operated online psychiatry practice in the U.S., and we're always growing-carefully and intentionally. That's where NPs in Bloom comes in. This is not a job opening... yet. This is a place to plant your seed of interest in what we're building, so when the time is right and your state is in bloom, you're the first to know.
Who We Are
Founded in 2020, Lavender is the largest nurse-owned and operated online psychiatry and therapy office in the United States. Our extraordinary team of 100+ talented and like-minded folks works remotely from across the United States, Canada and the Philippines to collaboratively increase access to high-quality, high-touch mental healthcare. Lavender is a human-first organization and our people embody:
  • A bias towards action
  • A capacity for self-direction
  • Originality and creative instincts
  • Courageous and bold thinking
  • And the potential to achieve even more

If you're looking for a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where your voice matters and you can truly have an impact creating high-quality, user-centric mental health services, we want to hear from you!
Lavender is an equal opportunity employer. We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives and background will lead to a better environment for our team and a better experience for our clients. We strongly encourage people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply.
What is "NPs in Bloom"?
NPs in Bloom is our ongoing talent community for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners who are curious about joining Lavender but don't see an open role in their state just yet.
By joining, you'll be:
  • The first to hear when we begin hiring in your state
  • Considered early for future opportunities

Think of it as our way of nurturing relationships with values-aligned, future Lavender NPs.
Why Join Lavender
We're building something different here-and we're proud of that. As a Lavender NP, when your state is hiring, you'll have access to:
  • Flexible, self-built schedules, we are open weekdays and weekends from 8 am - 8 pm (minimum 16 hours/week)
  • No patient minimums
  • Paid physician collaborators & UpToDate subscription
  • Fellowship & mentorship for new grads
  • Leadership development opportunities
  • ANCC-accredited continuing education
  • Annual profit-sharing, charitable giving program, and in-person team gatherings

We also offer:
  • A fully remote environment supported by a caring, spirited, diverse team
  • Company-sponsored meetups (this year we gathered in Mexico!)
  • Regular virtual team events and book clubs

What You'll Be Doing (Once We're Hiring in Your State)
When a role opens up, here's what to expect:
  • Conduct thorough initial evaluations and collaborate with clients to build thoughtful, personalized treatment plans that may include medication, therapy, or both.
  • Provide ongoing follow-ups with your clients-at minimum monthly-to evaluate effectiveness, adjust care plans, and support progress toward treatment goals.
  • Deliver talk therapy using a variety of modalities. Our clients often prefer an integrated approach that includes both medication management and therapy, so being comfortable in both areas is key.

What We Look For
We're interested in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners who:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Multiple State Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Licenses - Active
  • ANCC Board Certification
  • 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health (preferred)
  • Strong assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
  • Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space to take tele-psychiatry appointments

  • Active State Nurse Practitioner License (Required)
  • ANCC Board Certification (Required)
  • DEA Certification (Required)

Work setting: Fully remote
