Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to Lava Love's standards.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, engaging with guests to ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Operate coffee-making equipment, grinders, and espresso machines with precision and care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, equipment, and dining areas.
  • Assist with stocking, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring food and beverage handling meets all sanitation guidelines.
  • Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit card payments.
  • Promote and upsell Lava Love's menu items, including seasonal beverages, pastries, and merchandise.
  • Assist in training new team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Support resort-wide events and initiatives, providing coffee and beverage service as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous barista experience preferred, but not required-training will be provided.
  • Passion for coffee and customer service with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, milk steaming, and latte art is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays based on resort operations.
