Summary
We are representing a leading construction company with over 50 years of experience across California, specializing in Public Works, Municipality, and Education projects. With a team of over 75 employees, this firm consistently delivers high-quality results that exceed industry standards. They are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee projects with a focus on performance, safety, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety guidelines

  • Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate schedules and track progress

  • Supervise and mentor foremen, site supervisors, and field staff to maintain a productive work environment

  • Conduct regular site walks to monitor work, identify challenges, and keep the project on schedule

  • Interpret drawings and plans accurately to ensure proper field implementation

  • Manage subcontractor and supplier activity to maintain productivity and resolve any issues

  • Enforce jobsite safety practices and conduct recurring safety meetings with all personnel

  • Collaborate on budget control, cost tracking, and process efficiencies with the project team

  • Maintain accurate project records including daily reports, photos, and work logs

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction

  • Background with mid-sized or larger firms focused on Public Works, K-14, Higher Education, and Municipal projects

  • Experience with LAUSD projects is highly desirable

  • Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, and project sequencing

  • Proven track record delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills

  • Familiarity with construction management software

  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
