Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. You will be the face of Marco Polo Laundry, ensuring our facility remains pristine and providing top-tier service to our members. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping people, and can maintain our high standards for cleanliness and garment care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Greet members, assist new customers with our machines/membership process, and answer questions regarding our services.
  • Wash & Fold Service: Process "Fluff and Fold" orders with extreme care—sorting, washing, drying, and expertly folding clothes, linens, and comforters according to customer preferences.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain our reputation as the "cleanest laundromat" by regularly wiping down machines, cleaning lint filters, sweeping/mopping floors, and sanitizing folding tables after each use.
  • Order Management: Utilize our point-of-sale system to check in orders, weigh laundry, and notify customers when their orders are ready for pickup.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the Ozone and soft water systems are functioning correctly for every load to provide the best possible results for our clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a laundromat, hospitality, or cleaning service is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow specific instructions for different fabric types and folding styles.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift laundry bags/bundles up to 30–40 lbs.
  • Reliability: Punctuality is critical. Must be available to work weekends (Monday–Sunday schedule).
  • Communication: Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent verbal communication skills.
