Job description

We are looking for a CNC Lathe Machine Operator for a 3rd shift schedule. We are willing to provide training!

What You'll Do: 

  • Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot Star CNC Swiss machines to produce precision medical implants.

  • Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure parts meet customer specifications.

  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to inspect machined parts.

  • Perform routine maintenance and daily preventative maintenance (P.M.) on machines.

  • Document production activities, including first-piece inspection logs, maintenance records, and work orders.

  • Follow strict quality control procedures, including ID & traceability protocols.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize machining processes.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification a plus).

  • Min 1 year of experience reading blueprints.

  • Min 1 year of GD&T experience, measuring tolerances using micrometers, calipers and gauges

  • Min 1 year of operating and setting up CNC machines, preferred but not required.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
