Job description


M.R. Mold & Engineering Corp. for 37 years has specialized in tight-tolerance, flash less LSR, rubber and plastic prototype, production, and micro injection molds for medical and dental applications, including implantables, masks, and hearing aid products. Other industries served include aerospace, consumer products, and fluid handling. We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Lathe programmer/operator in the Orange County area.
Responsibilities:
  • Setting up own work, programming, and operating CNC lathe.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and follow CAD models and blueprints
  • Setting up and programming machines for unattended night runs.
  • Must be capable of monitoring machine performance (i.e., tool wear, cycle time, product quality, etc.) and identify and correct any issues


Qualifications: 
  • Experience setting up own work, programming, and operating CNC lathe.
  • Experience with tight tolerance machining preferred.
  • Mastercam experience is required.
  • Experience with tooling speeds and feeds necessary to meet quality and production standards.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, cutting tool geometry and tolerances
  • Knowledge of precision inspection equipment and methods (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Job shop experience preferred.
  • Strong basic math/shop math skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
