Job description

EBARA HG is seeking an experienced and motivated Conventional Lathe Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong production machining experience, be mechanically inclined, attentive to detail, and take pride in producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for setting up and operating conventional machining equipment, interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Conventional Lathe Machinist, you will play an important role in producing high-quality components and supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and machining specifications
  • Setting up and operating conventional lathes and milling machines
  • Selecting and securing tooling, fixtures, and materials
  • Measuring and verifying finished parts using precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshooting machining and drawing-related issues
  • Performing preventative maintenance on machines
  • Completing inspection reports and maintaining quality records
  • Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Following all company safety, environmental, and ISO quality procedures
What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years conventional lathe experience
  • Minimum 3 years conventional milling experience
  • Overhead crane experience
  • Production machining experience

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical school graduate or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of metrology and precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Team player with strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, and lifting throughout shift
  • Carrying, reaching, and stooping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
