Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 base pay - paid bi-weekly (based on experience and qualifications)

Other compensation is paid in addition to the base pay for a healthy complete compensation package

Job Description:

RDS Mechanical and Construction is seeking to add a few more great technicians / Installers. Experience in Commercial Mechanical Service, and/or installation, and maintenance is required. We have work awarded through the end of 2027. We handle traditional commercial HVACR customers’ needs both in local markets and nationwide. We are growing and this is a company you want to get in on the ground floor to work and grow with us. RDS always needs Mechanical/Refrigeration Technicians and Installers due to our explosive growth mainly in, but no limited to the following markets: Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Remote Routes, Tulsa OK, LA, NC, SC, GA

Key Responsibilities

Work with management, team leads, fellow technicians and helpers on installation & start-ups, repairs, and PM services in assigned markets. These positions do include in-state and some out-of-state travel. There are various shifts and days of work available. Some various job examples are: Replace RTUs, split systems, some ductwork, perform PMs, and diagnostics & repairs, remove and re-install existing ice makers, install new ice makers with remote condensers for our commercial customers.

Skills and Qualifications

As an HVACR Technician/Installer, applicant will be required to have and demonstrate:

● Must hold EPA 608 Universal Certification

● Strong Commercial Mechanical Service and or Installation, and Preventative Maintenance experience on HVAC systems

● Set or assist setting the equipment then, install and braze line sets, pressure test and pull a vacuum, weigh in refrigerant. Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, start-up and document work completion with appropriate documentation and pictures.

● Commercial Kitchen equipment like vent hoods and exhaust fans are a plus

● In depth knowledge Commercial HVACR, plumbing, and electrical principles

● The ability to climb and work on a ladder, in ceilings, on top of walk-in coolers, and on roof tops

● The ability to lift 50 lbs. solo or while assisting team members

● Physical stamina when standing or kneeling for extended periods of time

● The ability to travel 50-100% for certain markets (if assigned)

● The ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks, timely

● Good communication skills when coordinating with team members and customers

● Willingness to train on company-specific technical equipment

● Problem-solving skills to handle repair and equipment issues during installations, maintenance, and return service calls with a focus on safety and compliance

● The ability to pass a background check, drug test, a valid driver license, and be able to be added to our commercial auto policy by having a clean driving record

● Knowledge of small beverage Glycol Refrigeration systems is a huge bonus but not required

● Already skilled in commercial refrigeration - Great! If not, we will train you in this if you already have HVAC skills. It's easy!
