Summary: The Last Mile Assistant Manager is tasked with overseeing all aspects of the company's delivery and shipping operations, evaluating budgets, resolving conflicts, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and labor standards. As well as organizing and monitoring the distribution of goods to
Responsibilities
  • Manage, train, and mentor dispatchers to ensure daily performance goals are met.
  • Schedule and coordinate daily deliveries and pickups. Use fleet tracking and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize routing.
  • Handle escalated issues like route delays, vehicle breakdowns, or missed appointments to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all dispatching, packing, and transportation activities adhere to company policies, state laws, and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety regulations.
  • Analyze operational data and prepare reports for senior management to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Address customer inquiries, explain delivery times, and provide proactive updates on order statuses.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze technical and scientific journals as they pertain to the business and market
  • Strong problem solving and reasoning abilities to deal with a variety of problems and come up with creative solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to efficiently analyze, organize, and report data using Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners.

Pay Range:
$60,000-$70,000*
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
