Job description

Position Summary...About the Role
At Walmart, we are redefining last-mile delivery at unmatched scale. The Senior Manager, Pricing – Last Mile Delivery will play a critical role in shaping and executing pricing strategies that power Walmart’s omnichannel growth while balancing customer value, cost-to-serve, and profitability.
This role operates at the intersection of Retail economics, Last Mile operations, Pricing strategy, and Advanced Analytics (AI/ML). You will own complex pricing problems end-to-end—setting strategy, influencing senior leadership, and working hands-on with data, models, and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader who is equally comfortable defining long-term pricing vision and diving deep into details to solve ambiguous, high-impact problems at Walmart scale. What you'll do...Pricing Strategy & Business Ownership
  • Lead pricing strategy and execution for Walmart’s last-mile delivery offerings across multiple customer segments and fulfillment models.
  • Develop scalable pricing frameworks that balance Everyday Low Price (EDLP) principles, customer experience, and sustainable margins.
  • Own pricing levers such as delivery fees, thresholds, incentives, and surcharges, ensuring alignment with Walmart’s value proposition.
AI, Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics
  • Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to design and operationalize AI/ML-driven pricing and optimization models.
  • Apply machine learning outputs (e.g., demand forecasting, elasticity, cost prediction, routing signals) to influence real-time and strategic pricing decisions.
  • Translate complex model outputs into clear business insights and recommendations for executive stakeholders.

Last Mile & Retail Economics
  • Build deep expertise in last-mile cost drivers including labor, fuel, density, routing efficiency, service levels, and fulfillment type.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs between speed, cost, and customer promise to inform pricing decisions at scale.
  • Use data to identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining Walmart’s customer-first mindset.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders across Operations, Finance, Product, Tech, and Strategy.
  • Influence decisions through strong storytelling, scenario modeling, and data-backed insights.
  • Drive alignment across teams to successfully launch pricing changes and pilots.

Hands-On Execution & Problem Solving
  • Personally dive deep into data, analyses, and model assumptions to validate recommendations.
  • Lead pricing experiments, pilots, and A/B tests, and scale successful outcomes across the network.
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and operating mechanisms to track pricing performance and customer impact.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Pricing, Strategy, Analytics, or related roles within Retail, E-commerce, Logistics, or Last Mile Delivery.
  • Strong understanding of retail unit economics and last-mile delivery models.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Data Science teams and applying AI/ML-based insights to real business problems.
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic leader who is also deeply hands-on.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at scale in omnichannel retail or large logistics networks.
  • Background in dynamic pricing, elasticity modeling, or cost-to-serve optimization.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and data-driven decision platforms.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Operations Research, or a related field.
