Your Purpose in this Role
We are one of the top premier Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Contractors in the state of Arizona. We are looking for growth-motivated and self-starting individuals who value efficiency, reliability, and family.
The HVAC CAD Inputter is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and preparing sheet-metal ductwork and HVAC system components into CAD/CAM software for fabrication and coordination. This role supports estimating, fabrication, and project management teams by ensuring that drawings and takeoffs are precise and aligned with project specifications.
Pay
$20.00 - $30.00 hourly Based on skills, experience, performance and on-going training attendance
Your Duties and Responsibilities
  • Input HVAC duct systems into CAD/CAM software from design drawings, engineer plans, or field markups.
  • Build/modify 2D or 3D models to meet project requirements and fabrication standards.
  • Ensure accuracy of dimensions, materials, connectors, gauges, seams, and reinforcement.
  • Prepare shop drawings, fabrication files, and material lists.
  • Coordinate with shop foreman and fabrication teams.
  • Maintain revision control and organized file structures.
  • Review plans for completeness and identify discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • Experience with Practicam CAD software in HVAC mechanical drafting a plus.
  • Ability to read mechanical, architectural, and structural plans.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, duct types, and installation methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Basic math and geometry skills.
  • Experience with sheet-metal fabrication workflows.
  • Familiarity with SMACNA standards
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination tools.
  • Experience producing CNC-ready files.
