Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Laser Department for our client. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role loads and unloads materials, inspects finished parts, performs basic machine maintenance, and ensures production requirements are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Operate and monitor laser cutting equipment.
- Load and unload metal materials onto the machine.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
- Read and follow work orders and production instructions.
- Remove, sort, and stack finished parts.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
- Assist in other production areas as needed.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable with good attendance.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and cross-train in other departments.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
