Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations throughout the Larsen Manufacturing plant. This role requires expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, electronics (PLC), HVAC, carpentry, welding, machining, and fabricating. The ideal candidate will be proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment, with a preference for experience in stamping equipment maintenance.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone energetic, eager to learn, and ready to grow with Larsen Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
  • Inspect equipment, parts, and supplies, maintaining inventory levels and expediting orders as needed.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing information and trends.
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the team effort by supporting related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure shop safety at all times.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in metal stamping punch press setups (20-300 tons).
  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press controls (Wintriss and Link systems).

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of machinery, building maintenance, and equipment maintenance.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification through the company.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual candidates are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Work Environment:

  • First shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Regular engagement in physical activities such as lifting, operating power tools, and troubleshooting equipment.
