Job description

Job Title: Sign Production Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Sign Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical fabrication, assembly, and finishing of high-quality signage products. You will operate specialized production equipment, handle various materials, and ensure all projects meet exact specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble various sign types including vinyl banners, dimensional letters, lightboxes, and architectural signage.
  • Operate production machinery such as wide-format digital printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and CNC routers.
  • Prepare substrates by cutting, weeding, masking, and applying vinyl graphics to various surfaces like acrylic, wood, metal, and foam board.
  • Maintain quality control by proofing layouts, checking color accuracy, and inspecting finished products for defects before delivery.
  • Manage inventory by tracking material levels, reporting shortages, and organizing the production shop floor.
  • Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment and tools to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborate with design and installation teams to review work orders and meet strict project deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sign manufacturing, digital printing, or a related production environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with wide-format print software (RIP), vinyl plotting software, and basic hand/power tools.
  • Material Knowledge: Strong understanding of vinyl types, substrates, laminates, and adhesives.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive precise physical tasks.
  • Detail-Oriented: Excellent math and measurement skills with an eye for color matching and alignment.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
