Print Services is a campus business RUN by students LED by students. We are looking for team members who want to develop skills and apply their classroom learning in a real business. Print Services is different from other campus jobs--students are running the whole show and having one-of-a-kind educational experiences. We'll be investing a fair amount of time to get employees trained and up-to-speed in what is a technical job, so we want you to stick around for a while. We also offer opportunities to grow within Print Services with advanced technical roles, along with leadership roles as a student lead, assistant manager, and even our manager is a student.

Position Summary

We areseekinga hands-on, reliable, and detail-oriented Print Technician to join our Print Services team.Youwillbe responsible forexecuting print jobs with precision,operatingdigital equipment, and actively supporting the workflow of our production space. The ideal candidate takes initiative, learns quickly, and can work independently to meet tight deadlines whilemaintaininghigh standardsof quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run and manage print jobs using Canon printers, Docket Manager, and Fiery Command WorkStation.
  • Follow job tickets precisely. Double-check sizes, paper types, quantity, and special instructions.
  • Select and prepare materials (paper stock, finishes, etc.) appropriate to each job's specifications.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as trimming, binding, laminating, folding, and packaging with care and consistency.
  • Inspect final output thoroughly to ensure high quality.
  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Communicate clearly with the front desk and fellow print techs to keep jobs flowing and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Take initiative during downtime by helping restock inventory, organizing materials, or learning new processes.
  • Be reliable and self-directed. You should be able to stay productive and responsible without needing constant reminders or supervision.


Qualifications

  • Prior digital printing experience is a plus, but not required if you are a fast learner with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for quality and accuracy.
  • Proactive, dependable, and capable of working efficiently without constant direction.
  • Willingness to work with machines and perform hands-on tasks.
