Job description

Amentum is seeking a Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinator (DOSIC) to support the NIWC SWFTS Submarine Modernization Program in Groton CT in support of ongoing contract efforts.

Essential responsibilities:

Conducting deck plate audits and surveillances and document findings
Development of Liaison Action Record (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS)
Preparation of SHIPALT / ECI WAFs and tags, etc.
Project schedule management
Identification and tracking of planned vs. actual progress
Identification of problem or weak areas with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT)
Identification and interpretation of drawing issues

Experience working with the AIT to ensure deck plate work sequencing is being properly executed (i.e. right personnel workingin the right areas)

Providing written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
Participation in Planning and Hotwash events to support MIWG and TI-NEXT
Attendance of LMA meetings, as directed by the OSIC
Trip and weekly status report preparation
Technical reports (for drawing issues, LAR submissions, etc.) preparation

Minimum Qualifications

Security Clearance: Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secretsecurity clearance)

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience, OR an applicable degree/formal electronics training combined with six (6) years of practical experience

Travel: Ability to travel (anticipated minimum 30%%)
Conducting deck plate audits and surveillances and document findings experience.
Possess a strong work controls background.

Project schedule management experience.
Identification and tracking of planned vs. actual progress experience.
Identification of problem or weak areas with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) experience.
Identification and interpretation of drawing issues experience.
Experience working with the AIT to ensure deck plate work sequencing is being properly executed.
Providing written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator(OSIC) experience.
Be able to attend LMA meetings, as directed by the OSIC.
Trip and weekly status report preparation experience.

Desired Qualifications

Submarine Combat Systems Modernization, WAF and Tagout generation, and modernization work controls experience

Development of Liaison Action Record (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS).

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
