Job description

To grow at this pace, we need our data to be as precise as our products. That's why we're hiring a Data Specialist - someone who takes ownership of data integrity across our systems and becomes a trusted partner to every team that depends on it.
About the Role
The Data Specialist is the custodian of item master data integrity across our ERP and WMS systems - and as we scale, across PIM and eCommerce platforms too. You'll create and maintain SKU records, verify product attributes, manage costing data, and partner across the business to ensure the right data is in the right system at the right time.
What You'll Do
  • Create and maintain SKU and item master records in ERP and WMS systems - ensuring all required fields are complete and accurate before activation
  • Own costing data integrity: obtain, verify, and load manufacturer cost data, and keep records current as supplier pricing changes
  • Perform structured item master audits to identify stale records, missing attributes, UOM errors, duplicate SKUs, and costing gaps
  • Process item set-up and cost change requests from sourcing, sales, and operations - managing workflow, status, and turnaround
  • Define and enforce data entry standards for consistency, completeness, and auditability across all records
  • Track and report data quality metrics including record completeness rate, audit exception volume, and resolution cycle time
  • Support ERP/WMS implementations and upgrades by ensuring item master data is correctly mapped and tested before go-live
  • Partner with Sourcing, Finance, Warehouse Ops, Sales, and Pricing to resolve data issues and ensure cross-system consistency

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years in data entry, data management, or operations in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Direct experience with ERP item master, WMS, or PIM platforms (SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, or Manhattan a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field - or equivalent experience
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

You'll Thrive Here If You...
  • Treat every record as a business-critical asset and take personal accountability for its accuracy
  • Catch errors others miss - and build habits that prevent them from being created in the first place
  • Follow established standards consistently and flag deviations rather than inventing workarounds
  • Communicate data issues clearly to non-technical partners and get things resolved across teams
  • Look for ways to automate, streamline, and continuously improve data workflows

Compensation & Benefits
LAPP takes many factors into consideration when determining base salary, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $67,000 plus participation in LAPP's bonus plan.
We also offer a comprehensive benefits package:
  • Medical, Vision & Dental Insurance
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • HSA / FSA Accounts
  • Life Insurance & more
