Speech Language Therapist - SLT

Orlando, FL $92,540 - $106,610 a year

Nurture Lifelong Communication in the Sunshine State โ€“ Become Our Next Speech Language Therapist

Imagine a career that allows you to give a voice to those who need it most. As a Speech Language Therapist nestled in one of Orlando's vibrant neighborhoods, your role extends beyond merely managing communication and swallowing challenges. You will empower individuals by unlocking their potential, restoring their confidence, and fostering meaningful connections โ€” guiding the journey of young children babbling their first words to seniors striving to regain their independence.

This is more than just a job; it's an extraordinary opportunity to support a diverse spectrum of people across all age groups in a setting that perfects the art of merging outpatient therapy with some inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in pediatric language milestones, adult neurogenic communication issues, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you'll discover both satisfaction and adaptability in this role.

Conduct thorough assessments of patients across pediatric, adult, and elder demographics through standardized and observational methods.

Create tailored treatment strategies addressing short-range objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing demands.

Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.

Work closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish unified care strategies.

Educate patients and their families to reinforce growth outside clinical settings.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and sessions, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic journey.

Maintain precise and timely records in accordance with state laws and organizational policies.

Enhance your expertise by staying up-to-date with advancements in the speech-language field through ongoing education and peer information sharing.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting.

Expertise in evidence-based treatment solutions for all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication abilities to connect with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Capacity to adjust therapy methodologies to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Sharp clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.

Competitive salary based on experience.

Flexible scheduling designed to balance work-life harmony with a varied caseload.

Options to specialize in pediatric care, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric services.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive insurance options: medical, dental, vision, and life.

Support for continuing education and career development.

A collaborative environment emphasizing quality care and ongoing learning.

A Career That Moves with Purpose โ€” and Moves You

In this role, you will do more than administer speech therapy; you'll participate in a collective mission to restore voices, enhance communications, and create delightful moments through simple acts of connection and understanding.

You'll be surrounded by colleagues who regard each other as family, working in a culture rooted in cooperation rather than rivalry. Each patient brings their own narrative; we trust you to help shape it as you see fit.
