You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the machines that help us beautify the greater Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia areas.

What we're looking for:

  • Expertise in small engine repair, particularly 2-cycle engines used in grounds care, landscaping, and snow and ice equipment
  • The proper methods of servicing landscaping equipment and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
  • Ability to change oil, hydraulic, and all other necessary fluids in a variety of different vehicles and equipment.
  • A solid understanding of servicing and repairing power mowing equipment
  • Confidence in changing oil, hydraulic, and other essential fluids across various equipment
  • Familiarity with Toro commercial stand-on mowers and general knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment
  • Tech-savviness and the ability to quickly learn new computer software
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a knack for troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing shop personnel
  • Safety-focused individual with the ability to maintain a clean and secure workspace
  • Knowledge of tire repair and maintenance.

Requirements

You may be a good fit if you can:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on landscaping equipment, including stand-on mowers and small two-cycle tools
  • Assist in keeping the parts inventory clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Be physically capable of lifting and handling objects weighing at least 50 lbs
  • Exhibit independence and resourcefulness, performing tasks with minimal supervision
  • Stay motivated and produce work that reflects high-quality company standards
  • Availability to work off-hours during snow events
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
