Description
We're looking for an experienced Landscape Superintendent to lead day to day operations across our landscape construction and landscape maintenance projects. In this role, you'll oversee field crews, subcontractors, and on site execution for a wide range of commercial landscaping, residential landscape installation, and municipal landscape projects. Your expertise in irrigation systems, landscape design and installation, and hardscape coordination will ensure our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality.
As a leader in our field operations, you will:
- Supervise and mentor field crews working on landscape installation, grading, planting, and irrigation repair
- Coordinate labor, equipment, schedules, and materials for landscape construction projects
- Interpret and execute construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, and vendors on commercial landscaping services and timelines
- Ensure high standards of workmanship, job site safety, and OSHA compliance
- Troubleshoot on site issues to keep landscaping projects moving smoothly
- Support strong client satisfaction through communication, professionalism, and quality delivery

Requirements
Experience & Background
- 5+ years in landscape construction, maintenance, or site management
- Experience supervising crews in commercial, residential, or municipal landscape projects
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, grading, and landscape installation
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications
Technical Skills
- Plant identification, soil knowledge, and proper planting practices
- Irrigation troubleshooting, controller programming, and water management expertise
- Ability to operate or oversee equipment such as skid steers, trenchers, and mowers
- Familiarity with project tracking tools and basic computer skills
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and job site safety best practices
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate crews of 5-20 team members
- Strong communication skills with clients, internal teams, and vendors
- Skilled in scheduling, planning, and organizing daily operations
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining high quality and site cleanliness
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Willing to travel between job sites
- Availability for early mornings, occasional weekends, and extended hours during peak season
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CLT, QAL/QAC, OSHA 10/30, or irrigation technician credentials
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with budgets, cost tracking, or landscape construction financials
- Knowledge of sustainable and water efficient landscape practices
