Location: Rochester, NY (In-Office)
Position Type: Full-Time
Estimated Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 (Base + Performance Bonus)

Position Overview

Kappan Financial is a growing independent financial planning firm in Rochester, NY, dedicated to helping families and businesses secure their financial futures. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking an energetic, strategic, and compliance-minded Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand, deepen client engagement, and drive new business opportunities.

In this role, you will own and oversee the firm’s marketing strategy from start to finish. You will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, including lead generation, content development, digital marketing, event coordination, community outreach, brand management, and performance tracking. The ideal candidate blends creative storytelling with data-driven marketing tactics, and has experience developing campaigns within the wealth management or financial services industry.

Core Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Content Marketing

  • Execute campaigns: Design and manage targeted inbound marketing campaigns to attract high-net-worth prospects.
  • Manage digital assets: Optimize the firm's digital presence, including website content, SEO initiatives, email marketing, and social media platforms.
  • Create content: Author, edit, and distribute engaging financial literacy content, blog posts, video snippets, and market updates.

2. Event Management & Local PR

  • Coordinate events: Plan and execute educational webinars and workshops, client appreciation events, and community events for clients and prospects. Manage event logistics, invitations, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up
  • Build local presence: Identify local sponsorship, charity, and public relations opportunities within the Greater Rochester area to build brand authority.

3. Compliance, Tracking, & Operations

  • Maintain compliance: Ensure all marketing materials rigidly adhere to SEC, FINRA, and firm compliance guidelines.
  • Analyze performance: Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (ROI, cost-per-lead, conversion rates) to optimize spending.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably within financial services, wealth management, insurance, or legal sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with financial industry regulations (SEC/FINRA marketing rules) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and experience using design tools.
  • Local Nuance: Knowledge of the Rochester business landscape and community networks is a strong plus.
