We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Production team on a rotating night shift. This position leads daily production operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, team morale, productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). This role provides hands-on leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of collaboration, empowerment, continuous improvement, and skill development across the team.


You will get to:

  • Oversee daily production operations to meet targets while ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety, food, and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a safe, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
  • Manage workflow, equipment, inventory, raw material flow, product releases, and shipments to maintain smooth operations and timely delivery.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and escalate process, equipment, and personnel issues to minimize downtime.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimize scheduling and operations, and strengthen team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Training, Continuous Improvement, HR, and R&D, to align policies and drive overall manufacturing performance.
  • Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing processes, monitoring performance and implementing improvements to enhance throughput and efficiency.
  • In the absence of incumbent, the direct supervisor will act as designee.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
  • Be responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the companyโ€™s policies and practices.
  • Embody OFDโ€™s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department and company culture.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision to Manufacturing Hourly Employees, including managing schedules and timecards, answering questions, and providing resources.
  • Provide leadership by supporting, coaching and engaging team members.
  • Support recruiting, selecting and training of new team members.
  • Foster an inclusive, safe and respectful work environment.
  • Provide direction and ensure compliance with OFD policies and procedures.
  • Champion OFDโ€™s culture.
  • Communicate organizational information through appropriate channels with employees.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $88,000

Schedule: PB Night Shift (6:45pm-7:00am), 2, 2, 3 Rotation

Environment of this position:

  • Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
  • Exposure to various food allergens.
  • Regular requirement to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, reach, carry, and lift and twist.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 15 pounds and up to 50 pounds.


OFD contains office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand and climb; bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present; and be comfortable at various heights.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • Generally, four (4) years of manufacturing experience; preferably in the Life Science/Nutraceutical industry, with an Associate degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Food Science; Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Generally, two (2) years of experience leading and managing teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of general manufacturing processing with proven ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, FDA, USDA, HACCP and OSHA requirements.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma using root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and cross functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable while managing business priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think strategically, outside of functional role, and translate strategy into action.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems, Redzone, ADP, Alchemy or similar platforms a plus.
  • While a standard shift will generally be assigned, this role requires flexibility to support operations across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
