Job Description - Landscape Construction Laborer & Foreman
Must be 18 or over
On the job training is provided
Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to use body for performing all landscape maintenance tasks
Desired: Work experience for any length of time in similar position
Insurable CA drivers license a plus
Essential Functions
Foreman - Minimum 3 years proven experience leading landscape enhancement jobs
Laborers:
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pick axes, saws, wheel barrows, weed whips.
Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as sod cutters, pruning saws, chain saws, jack hammer, bobcat
Enhance established landscape by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, installation of irrigation, walls, trees, plants, cobble, and rock
Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes.
Plant foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using tools.
Rake mulch, soil, and compost
Decorate gardens with stones or plants. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste.
Provide, repair or improve upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features.
Haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Installation of new irrigation systems including controllers, valves, wiring, and pipes
