These services include tree care, landscaping design install and maintenance, interior plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and décor, snow and ice management, and mulch. JOB SUMMARY: The Mowing Crew Member is responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Area Manager. You will be responsible for performing mowing and trimming services throughout Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas while working in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibiting pride and quality workmanship. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
  • Mow, trim and edge lawns
  • Operate zero turn mowers, trimmers, edgers and other power equipment
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid Iowa driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
  • Proficiency in operating commercial mowers and equipment
  • 2-3 years of commercial lawn mowing experience
  • Ability to cope with a physically demanding job
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 50 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
