Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Landscape Maintenance Account & Business Development Manager to join our team full-time. In this dual-focus role, you will manage our existing commercial/residential landscape maintenance accounts while actively hunting for new business opportunities. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service execution, while simultaneously driving revenue growth through new contract acquisitions.

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 / year (Base salary based on experience)
  • Incentives: Performance-based bonus opportunities

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales (Growth)

  • Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, property walkthroughs, and local community engagement.
  • Estimate and bid on new landscape maintenance contracts for commercial properties, HOAs, and high-end residential estates.
  • Present professional proposals to property managers, board members, and business owners.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets to drive company revenue growth.

Account Management & Client Relations (Retention)

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and our field operations teams.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure landscape quality meets company standards and client expectations.
  • Identify upsell opportunities such as mulch installation, seasonal color changes, tree trimming, and turf fertilization.
  • Resolve client issues promptly and professionally to maintain a near-100% renewal rate.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the green industry (landscaping, lawn care, or property management).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices, plant identification, and local turf care (preferred but not required).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently to stakeholders.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with CRM software, estimating tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided).
