Job description

Position Summary:
Landmark Builders is seeking a full-time IT Coordinator to provide comprehensive technical support and ensure smooth daily operations of IT systems across our office and field locations. This hands-on role covers help desk operations, system administration, and technical project support, while serving as a key resource for end users and supporting the IT Director in maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Help Desk Operations & User Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT support, providing Level 2 and Level 3 assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical problems across Windows and mobile platforms for both office and field personnel.
  • Support remote users with VPN, cloud access, and collaboration tools; escalate critical issues to senior technical staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate ticket documentation and conduct end-user training on new systems and applications.

System Administration & Maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain server infrastructure, network equipment, and security systems; perform routine updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory.
  • Administer the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Conduct system backups, monitor performance, and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operations.

Technical Project Support
  • Assist with cloud migration initiatives, system implementations, and automation tool deployments.
  • Configure and deploy new hardware and software for end users; participate in IT onboarding for new employees.
  • Test new systems and applications before organization-wide deployment and document technical procedures and user guides.
  • Coordinate with vendors for system installations, maintenance, and equipment procurement.

IT Operations Coordination
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment tracking systems.
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance windows, system updates, and assist with compliance and security assessments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes.

Qualifications:
Experience & Technical Knowledge
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical support or system administration roles, with a proven background in help desk operations and user support.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy; working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud-based services.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and experience with network troubleshooting and infrastructure support.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems, remote support tools, and endpoint security tools including antivirus and firewall management.
  • Basic PowerShell or batch scripting capabilities preferred; experience supporting remote workers and distributed teams a plus.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a patient, professional demeanor when supporting end users of varying technical proficiency.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing demands, and work independently under pressure.
  • High ethical standards, honesty, and integrity in all professional conduct.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified, Windows Server) or CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+) preferred.
  • Experience with ITIL framework, backup and disaster recovery systems, and knowledge of AI tools and automation technologies.
  • Background supporting construction or project-based business environments a plus but not required.
