Job description

Position Overview
Landmark Hospital of Joplin is seeking a dedicated, leadership-driven Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse for our permanent, full-time staff. Landmark of Joplin operates a specialized 17-bed acute care hospital alongside a 12-bed acute rehabilitation unit, fostering a vibrant critical care atmosphere. In this role, you will lead the shift nursing team, manage workflows for medically complex patients requiring extended acute hospitalization, and maintain clinical excellence.
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus, depending entirely on your years of professional nursing experience!
Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Leadership: Coordinate and delegate patient care duties based on nurse competency and the needs of highly acute LTAC patients.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner actively with physicians, respiratory therapists (RT), and physical rehab staff to ensure dynamic, synchronized patient care plans.
  • Clinical Oversight: Handle complex clinical assessments, manage unit workflows, step in for advanced bedside interventions, and safely oversee patient admissions and discharges.
  • Family Engagement: Serve as a clinical liaison, effectively communicating and interacting with patient family members regarding care goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure shift-level compliance with Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) standards and internal hospital quality guidelines.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Missouri RN License (or valid Compact multi-state RN license).
  • Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care, critical care (ICU/PCU), or LTAC experience. Prior Charge Nurse or supervisory experience.
  • Clinical Acuity: Proven proficiency managing mechanical ventilation, tracheostomies, complex wound care, and titration of critical IV infusions.
Shift & Schedule
  • Full-Time, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total).
  • Day Shift (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) or Night Shift (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) options available.
  • Weekend and holiday rotations as designated by unit operations.
Salary & Financial Incentives
  • Base Pay: $30.00-$48.00 / hour, heavily dependent on your specific years of nursing experience.
  • Shift Differentials: Additional +$4.00/hour shift differential for hours worked on the Night Shift!
