Job description

Job Title: Landfill Gas Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician to join our team and support our Landfill Gas Operations and Maintenance (O&M) efforts. This role involves analyzing landfill well data using an eTools system and performing various maintenance tasks. You will have access to company equipment and vehicles as part of your duties. You will receive dedicated training and development to learn and advance within this role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze landfill well data using an eTools system.
  • Perform pump maintenance, including pulling, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and replacing.
  • Conduct reading and tuning of landfill gas systems.
  • Perform Surface Emissions Monitoring (SEMs) and probe readings.
  • Utilize company equipment and vehicles for tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in an outdoor environment.
  • Background in field work, mechanical aptitude, prior Military experience is welcomed.
  • Data entry proficiency.
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification is a plus. If you don't have one we will pay for you to get certified.
  • Experience in environmental fieldwork and testing is a plus
  • Field sampling experience.
  • Mechanical experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data effectively.

Work Environment

You will receive training for two months at various landfill sites between Westminster, MD, and Baltimore, MD. Then you will move to your "home" site in Rockville, MD. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gaithersburg, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
