Calling all lifeguards!

Are you a strong swimmer with a passion for keeping others safe? Country Club of Landfall is looking for dedicated and vigilant lifeguards to oversee our private pool area and provide a secure, enjoyable experience for our members and guests. If you thrive in a team-oriented environment and take pride in maintaining high safety standards, weโ€™d love to have you on board!

General Requirements

  • 16+ years old
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED certified
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard certified
  • Great communication skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Able to lift 25+ pounds
  • Able to work in various outdoor conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work one of the major summer holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)


Job Description

The main role of a lifeguard is to maintain a safe environment at the pool by collaborating with other lifeguards to enforce a set standard of rules for Members and their guests.

  • A Lifeguard prepares the pool for daily use-i.e. Vacuum pool bottom; empties automatic skimmer; skims bugs and other debris from surface
  • A Lifeguard always supervises and observes swimmers to ensure their safety
  • A Lifeguard administers care to swimmersโ€™ minor injuries, such as small cuts and bruises
  • A Lifeguard maintains amenities in and cleanliness of the pool deck
  • A Lifeguard enforces the rules of conduct at the pool
  • A Lifeguard is responsible for organizing designated pool areas throughout the day
  • A Lifeguard informs the Aquatics and Wellness Manger about unresolved member or guest disruptions that could cause further issues
  • A Lifeguard is responsible for engaging with members, providing impeccable service, and being utilized as a resource for members and staff while on the pool deck.
  • A Lifeguard will take the initiative to complete necessary tasks without direction and will be able to always maintain a safe work environment
  • A Lifeguard will use acquired skills paired with common sense to complete tasks
  • A Lifeguard will create Warm Welcomes, Magical Moments, and Fond Farewells for membership at the Country Club of Landfall

  • Assistant Pool Manager
  • Aquatics and Wellness Manager

Attendance Requirements

Attendance Requirements for this position: this is a part-time seasonal position. Early mornings, evenings, weekends and some holidays are the requirements of this role.
