Soltesz is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Rockville office. This is an opportunity for a licensed civil engineer to lead land development projects, build trusted client relationships, mentor talented professionals, and contribute to the continued success of a well-established multidisciplinary firm.

The Project Manager will oversee projects from planning through completion while managing client expectations, project teams, schedules, budgets, quality, and financial performance. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with effective leadership, communication, and client-service skills. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage civil engineering and land development projects from initiation through completion
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide responsive, solutions-oriented service
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor engineers, designers, and other project team members
  • Coordinate staff assignments, workloads, and project priorities
  • Oversee project quality control and the technical review of plans and deliverables
  • Develop proposals, scopes of work, project budgets, and fee estimates
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, financial performance, and invoicing
  • Provide team members with regular feedback, coaching, and recognition
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to advance company goals
  • Support business development and help cultivate new and existing client relationships 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer registration in Maryland
  • At least eight years of progressive civil engineering and land development design experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing staff
  • Strong technical ability to develop and review plans and collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors
  • Experience working on land development projects in suburban Maryland preferred
  • Experience with Montgomery County projects and review processes is a plus
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and delegation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to quality, client service, teamwork, and professional development
