Job Description
The primary purpose of the Lamination Operator's position is to perform all assigned tasks, including but not limited to, the safe, efficient operations of the Laminating Press and associated equipment. Additionally, the operator will be required to perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility. The operator will be required to understand and manipulate computer software related to the operation of the Laminating press and associated equipment. The operator will also be required to identify conditions which may lead to substandard quality or up-time and initiate the proper corrective action. Further duties may include assisting maintenance personnel, when requested, in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment in order to support continuous operations on the production line.
Qualifications
The ability to drive a forklift
• The ability and willingness to work overtime as needed including some weekends.
• The ability to work effectively with other members of the facility team
• The ability to work without constant supervision
• The ability to multi-task and to creatively problem solve
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• The ability to diagnose machine problems and report to maintenance.
• The ability to perform basic, routine maintenance on assigned equipment
• The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• The ability to work at heights using a man-lift or scissor lift
• The ability to read and understand complex written instructions
