Job description

Atlas Molded Products is seeking Lamination Associate - 3rd Shift for the Byron Center, MI facility.
Lamination Associate Primary Responsibilities
  • Report to Manager at shift start for direction for the day.
  • General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
  • Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and/or label materials per specific production instructions.
  • Operate or assist with machinery such as, but not limited to the laminator, embosser, routers, and wrapping equipment.
  • Verify equipment set-up throughout the process; operate and power down manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain productivity standards and verify all job requirements of the final products with the correct density, material, weight, size, and shape within given quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate Pre-breakers / Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
  • Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
  • Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
  • Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

Lamination Associate Experience
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment helpful.

Lamination Associate Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Problem solving and critical thinking desired
  • Minimal problem solving and critical thinking required
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken, preferred.
  • Must be able to use simple math, count and use basic hand-held measuring tools.

Lamination Associate Education, Licenses & Certifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
