Description

ATSI is seeking an individual to provide Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) support for mission engineering capability development within DoD programs. This role focuses on requirements analysis, MBSE practices, and integration of complex systems across multiple domains. Candidates will work collaboratively with government and contractor teams to deliver high-quality engineering artifacts and ensure compliance with DoD standards.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze, derive, and manage requirements for hardware and software systems in accordance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix (RTVM).
  • Strategize verification methods and document timing and execution plans.
  • Apply MBSE methodologies to manage requirements and verification within system models.
  • Create MBSE artifacts, including System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) deliverables.
  • Manage configuration and data for MBSE artifacts.
  • Assess system interoperability using MBSE tools and emulated software.
  • Support integration into virtual environments (e.g., Live Virtual Constructive) and physical systems.
  • Work closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and cross-functional disciplines.
  • Capture and document requirements from product support specialists and logisticians.
  • Assist in review and improvement of repair and test procedures.

Requirements

Preferred Expertise & Qualifications

  • Standards & Frameworks: Familiarity with DoD systems engineering standards, industry best practices, and INCOSE Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBoK).
  • Modeling & Architecture: Strong knowledge of SysML and UML; experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, and Rhapsody; familiarity with DoDAF/UAF frameworks.
  • Engineering Tools: Proficiency with Ansys Systems Tool Kit, DOORS, MATLAB, LabVIEW, SIMDIS, and Visio.
  • Programming Skills: Skilled in Python, C#, and MATLAB for modeling and automation tasks.
  • Other Technical Skills: Experience with Linux environments, containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and development tools such as Visual Studio.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; minimum of 3 years of professional MBSE experience.
