Registered Nurse Acute (RN) - Labor And Delivery

Location Detail: 80 Seymour Street (10008)

Shift Detail: 36 hours, 3/12 hour shifts, every third weekend, Night shift

The Labor & Delivery unit includes 16 labor/delivery/recovery beds, 5 obstetric triage beds and a surgical suite comprised of 3 ORs dedicated to cesarean delivery.

Job Summary:

Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service or other primary area of practice with an awareness of the episode of care. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Functions as clinically competent. Delegates and supervises work appropriately. Reports to Unit Manager.

Qualifications

โ€ข Current Connecticut RN License
โ€ข Minimum 1-3 years experience as RN, OB experience preferred
โ€ข Previous Labor & Delivery experienced preferred
โ€ข Graduate of an accredited nursing school ASN Required, BSN preferred.
โ€ข BLS from the American Heart Association
โ€ข BLS from the American Red Cross (Institute of Living only)
