About the role

The Senior Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate evaluation of waste samples and maintaining compliance with the facility's Waste Analysis Plan.This positionis responsible forconducting on-site laboratory testing and analysis todetermineacceptable waste streams. The Senior Laboratory Technician works closely with operations to support safe, compliant, and efficient processing, while upholdinghigh standardsof quality and safety as a valued member of the facility operations team.

PositionResponsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and document incoming samples accurately and efficiently, recording results both manually and electronically.

Evaluate new samples to determine appropriate treatment methods and suitability for processing.

Verify that incoming samples align with approved profiles and designated disposal or processing sites.

Manage andmaintaininventory of laboratory chemicals, reagents, and wastewater treatment supplies.

Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including HG, Flashpoint, ICP, TXRF, GC, bomb calorimeters, and balances.

Ensure the laboratory and work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Open and close the laboratory as needed, including securing materials and safely shutting down equipment.

Support andparticipatein laboratory projects aimed at improving cost efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.

Coordinate activities across laboratory and operations teams to support overall facilityobjectives.

Collaborate with team members toidentify, investigate, and resolve operational challenges.

Partner with production personnel as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Performadditionalduties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degreeor higher in a science related field.

Minimum3years of laboratory or related experience.

Demonstrated experience performing chemical analysis and laboratory testing, including techniques such as flashpoint, ICP, GC, or similar methods.

Working knowledge of waste analysis procedures, regulatory compliance requirements, and facilitypermitstandards.

Proven ability to evaluate waste streams and determineappropriate treatmentor disposal methods.

Experiencemaintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.

Abilityto effectively communicate via written and verbal methods.

Obtain and keep current all required certifications but not limited to 40-hour HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications and ability to accurately document and manage data electronically

Experience working with non-hazardous and hazardous waste.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to make sound technical decisions with minimal supervision.

Ability to collaborate effectively with operations and production teams in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Bachelorsdegree preferred

Previousexperience with wastewater treatment

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

Consistently work in various weather conditions

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
