Job description

Achievement Engineering Corp. (Achieveng) is looking to hire a Laboratory Supervisor to join our team! We have many projects on the horizon, so we are looking to hire a Full-Time Laboratory Supervisor in San Jose, CA. If you meet/possess the following - we want to here from you!

Candidates for this position MUST POSSeSS the following certifications:

  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Strength Testing Technician Certification
  • ACI Laboratory Aggregate Testing Technician Level I
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • A valid and clean Class C Driver License, issued by the State of California DMV
  • Caltrans Testing Method (CTM) Certifications in Soils Aggregate and Asphalt

While not required, the following certifications are HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I Certification
  • Any NICET Lab Testing Certification
  • ACI Laboratory Aggregate Testing Technician Level II
  • Nuclear Gauge Safety Training

Additionally, the applicant must meet/possess the following qualifications:

  • Available in/near San Jose, CA, or willing to relocate.
  • The ability to keep records and prepare reports.
  • The ability to pick up a sample (should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.)
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral methods, such as in-person and/or by telephone, and through written methods, such as via email.
  • A comfortable proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and also Adobe Acrobat.
  • Be able and open to learning and applying specific provisions of applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations mandated by appropriate jurisdictions.
  • The ability to perform all Laboratory Testing duties, including following the testing standards, promptly reporting the testing outcomes, and keeping the laboratory area tidy & organized with the technician team.
  • Be able and open to establishing and maintaining good working relationships with company personnel and clients alike.
  • Manage the lab schedule and flow with coordination with the main office lab engineer.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $35-45 per hour
