Job Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating the operations of the Department of Nursing skills laboratories

Minimum annual rate $41,725

Responsibilities
Assists in the coordination of nursing laboratory skills - 45%
- Assists faculty in the development, delivery, presentation, evaluation, and refining of skills laboratory
- Supports best practices in the use of strategies to achieve desired educational outcomes
Manages laboratory schedules and establishes laboratory policies and procedure - 10%
- Coordinates and schedules labs for Nursing programs
- Establishes and enforces policies, procedures, and standard practices for the use of the skills lab and its technology
- Maintains lab safety; inspects equipment for proper operation and maintenance; informs faculty and students of safety protocols
Maintains laboratory equipment - 20%
- Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies
- Maintains equipment
- Maintains audiovisual and multimedia equipment
- Coordinates the repair or replacement of equipment as required
- Maintains lab equipment and supply organization
Performs related duties as assigned - 10%
- Completes professional development and continuing education training
- Performs special projects as assigned by the academic chair
Performs select instructional duties - 15%
- Participates in laboratory skills and related instruction.
- Teaches undergraduate courses as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- An earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred or an earned Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree with completion of BSN within three years upon hire.
- Current, active and unencumbered Georgia and/or compact license
Required Experience
- Applicants must provide evidence of a minimum of one year nursing experience
