The Senior Automation Solutions Consultant is responsible for prospecting, scoping and closing Laboratory Automation Solutions in the Pharma, Synthetic Biology and Clinical spaces.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is part of the is part of the Life Science Automation Team located in Sacramento or San Francisco Bay Area and will be working remotely to cover Berkeley, San Francisco Bay, Oregon and Sacramento. Candidate will ideally live in Sacramento or San Francisco Bay Area.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • To work with your Field Application Specialist and Field Project Manager to scope and deliver Laboratory Automation Solutions. You will be responsible for understanding and growing market share in your territory. Represent the organization in customer negotiations, trade shows, seminars, conferences and other official occasions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide best in class automated solutions
  • Responsible for delivering Territory Sales Quota for Hardware and Consumables and will participate and continuous improvement process to benefit the whole team.
  • Champion Danaher core values and the use of DBS and ensure team members are actively engaged in the achievement of the company growth objectives. Continuously drive Voice of the Customer (VOC) back into all parts of the business to ensure customer's interests are prominently positioned. Advocate for the customer, for product quality and for providing excellent customer solutions and consistently strive to increase customer satisfaction.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • BA or BS in Science, Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales (direct and engaging distribution channel partners preferable) in North America with deep knowledge and understanding of the North America Biopharma, Academia, Government and Life Sciences markets is required.
  • Previous exposure to Laboratory Automation is highly desirable.
  • Clinical, Pharmaceutical, or Synthetic Biology Lab Experience
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving attitude and solid business acumen. Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced and action-oriented environment.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
  • Ability to travel - 25% travel, overnight within your territory or other locations
  • Must have valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Laboratory Automation Experience
  • MS or PhD in a Life Sciences or Chemistry
  • Clinical Laboratory Experience

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $115,000-$150,000 This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
