Position Overview:ย 
Provide supervision and direction to Maintenance Department in support of manufacturing and distribution.ย  Plan, organize, and schedule the mechanical and/or electrical/electronic maintenance of manufacturing and distribution machines and equipment to maximize labor and material utilization and minimize downtime.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Direct the activities of the maintenance department to ensure that all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimum downtime.
  • Coordinate priority maintenance scheduling with production requirements in conjunction with production department manager and production scheduling department.
  • Work closely with supervisors and operations personnel to stay abreast of process problems and take corrective action as necessary.ย  Be available for emergency problems on a three-shift basis.
  • Responsible for labor / supervises projects to ensure all materials and labor are available for efficient completion of projects on schedule.
  • Prepare monthly maintenance schedules and allocate daily work.
  • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
  • Develop and maintain excellent standards and conditions in Safety and Housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of and enforce company rules and policies while maintaining good employee relations.
  • Utilize good communication skills to motivate, provide guidance, and give appropriate feedback to maintenance personnel.
  • Keep the maintenance training program up to date and insure the ongoing training/competency of new maintenance personnel.
  • Enforce all safety procedures / policies and conduct daily safety meetings.
  • Evaluate performance of maintenance personnel and initiate changes/action steps as appropriate with respect to existing guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 โ€“ 5 years relevant experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
