Job description

Griffin Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Multi-Skilled Technician to join our patient care team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Multi-Skilled Technician performs and assists with routine and STAT blood draws, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and provides direct patient care support to ensure high-quality, patient-centered service.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and STAT phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Obtain and document EKGs as ordered.
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care activities and clinical procedures.
  • Monitor and report patient conditions or concerns to the supervising RN.
  • Maintain patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
  • Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transportation.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies required for patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection prevention standards
  • Support a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare environment.

Qualifications
  • Experience in patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG performance required.
  • Prior hospital experience preferred.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • Patient Care Technician certification required
