Job description

The Renaissance Hotel Orlando Airport is seeking a Painter for their 297-room hotel located outside the Orlando International Airport. The primary purpose of the Painter is to maintain and enhance the appearance of the hotel by applying professional painting and finishing techniques that preserve the property's quality and aesthetic appeal. As both an artist and a skilled technician, the Painter ensures that every painted surface contributes to a clean, polished, and welcoming environment, supporting the hotel's reputation, protecting its assets, and delivering an exceptional guest experience through attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.
Essential Job Functions
  • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, fill cracks or holes, and apply primers or sealants to prepare walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and furniture for painting.
  • Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, stain, or other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other tools, ensuring smooth, even coverage.
  • Color Matching: Match paint colors and finish to existing surfaces or specified color schemes for consistency across the property.
  • Special Finishes: Apply decorative or textured coatings, faux finishes, and specialty effects to enhance design and ambiance.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Perform touch-ups, repainting, or refinishing to address wear, damage, or deterioration.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols, handle paints and solvents properly, and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards in application, edging, cutting in, and trim work, ensuring durability and visual appeal.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with maintenance staff, contractors, designers, and management to schedule and coordinate painting projects with minimal guest disruption.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage professionally with guests during painting work in guest rooms or public areas, addressing concerns promptly.

Must be available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Prior experience in a hotel / hospitality setting is preferred.
