Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery
Facility: Providence Saint Joseph Hospital
Location: 1100 W Stewart Dr, Orange, CA 92868
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (3x12)
Pay: $73/hr (W2) | $78/hr (W2)
Position Summary:
Providence Saint Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA, is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join its Magnet-recognized acute care team.
This high-risk L&D unit requires a skilled nurse capable of managing complex obstetric cases, providing exceptional care for mothers and infants through labor, delivery, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care for patients experiencing labor, high-risk pregnancies, and post-partum recovery
  • Circulate in the operating room during C-sections and other procedures (e.g., D&Cs, cerclage, versions)
  • Monitor fetal heart tones and manage complications such as preterm labor, preeclampsia, and IUFD
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and NICU staff
  • Accurately chart patient assessments and interventions using Epic EMR
  • Maintain and enforce hospital safety, infection control, and care protocols
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (Hard Stop)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced Preferred)
  • Must be able to circulate in the OR
  • Valid California RN license (No temp licenses)
  • Epic charting experience (Preferred)

  • Local Radius: 50 miles (locals accepted at lower bill rate)
