GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems.
 
We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. Position Overview

GTI is seeking General Labor Associates to support sandblasting, surface preparation, and industrial coating operations within a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment. This role is responsible for assisting with metal preparation, abrasive blasting support, coating operations, material movement, and maintaining clean and organized production areas throughout the fabrication facility.

Key Responsibilities

General Labor Associates play a key role in supporting efficient production flow by ensuring materials, components, and finished products are properly prepared for blasting, painting, and final finishing operations.

This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for candidates with manufacturing, industrial, construction, fabrication, painting, or general labor experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with sandblasting, metal preparation, grinding, sanding, masking, and cleaning operations throughout the facility

• Support coating and painting teams by preparing materials, parts, and fabricated components for finishing processes

• Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout blasting and coating work areas

• Assist with hanging, staging, and moving fabricated metal components for paint and finishing operations

• Operate grinders, sanders, pressure washers, and other industrial hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety standards within blasting booths, paint areas, and production workspaces

• Follow manufacturing, coating, and OSHA safety procedures including PPE and respiratory protection requirements

• Support production teams in meeting daily manufacturing and finishing schedules

• Assist with material handling and movement of finished or unfinished components throughout the facility

• Work closely with fabrication, welding, and production teams to support overall manufacturing operations

Required Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, industrial, painting, blasting, or general labor environments preferred

• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a physically demanding work environment

• Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and working on your feet for extended periods

• Ability to safely use industrial hand tools and power equipment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sandblasting, industrial painting, coatings, or surface preparation

• Forklift or material handling equipment experience

• Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial production environments

• Familiarity with industrial PPE, respirators, and safety procedures
