Job description

Epoxy Production Associate
SpecChem, LLC supplies and services the concrete distributor network with quality construction chemicals that provide performance and value to the industry.
We are seeking an intelligent, energetic candidate for a full-time Epoxy Production Associate position in our Kansas City, KS facility.
Job Summary: This is a full-time position. This location primarily produces liquid products. This associate is responsible for operating mixing equipment, performing batching and compounding, and ensuring high-quality production of epoxy products. The ideal candidate will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintain a clean work environment, and prioritize safety at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver batch samples and documentation to the QA Lab.
  • Set up, change over, and clean machines and work area daily.
  • Operate Cowles/Disperser mixing equipment, frequency drives, gear, and diaphragm pumps.
  • Perform blending, processing, batching, and compounding tasks.
  • Follow SOPs for consistent quality.
  • Use personal protective equipment (respirator, apron, gloves) and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Label products correctly for sorting and use.
  • Maintain company safety procedures and good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of batching or manufacturing experience, preferably with a chemical manufacturing background, or 1+ years with SpecChem in production.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Quick learner with a commitment to quality work.
  • Forklift operation or willingness to learn.
  • Must wear a respirator mask.
  • Pass a background check and pre-employment screenings.
