Job description

PRN Medical Lab Technician Pool
Department: Laboratory
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree in Science or equivalent and meet CMS/CLIA testing personal requirements. Must have certificate from a National Laboratory Registry (ASCP, AMT, ABB) within 12 months of hire. Two years of experience is required.
Job Duties:
Provides information for patient diagnosis and treatment by performing laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, toxicology and coagulation. Will assist the laboratory manager / general supervisor and assume the duties of the laboratory general supervisor on a temporary basis when necessary. Must maintain appropriate quality control for all testing and performs all aspects of maintenance of laboratory analyzers. Maintains and performs the necessary skills to work as a laboratory assistant when required.
