Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and LA State license for a day shift contract in a hospital-based IR/Cardiac Cath Lab.

Details
  • Work in a hospital-based interventional radiology unit that collaborates closely with the cardiac cath lab
  • Standard day shift schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility required for procedures outside these hours
  • Call is divided equally among the team, typically covering two nights per week and every other weekend, including holidays
  • On-call expectation includes being able to arrive at the department within 30 minutes of notification
  • May be required to float between IR and Cardiac Cath Lab as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in interventional radiology
  • ARRT, BLS, ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
  • Current LA State license or Compact license required if applicable
  • Must live more than 65 miles from the facility
  • Previous travel experience required; unit will not accept first-time travelers
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities may include emergency staffing and storm-related duties during hurricane season, with the expectation to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team as assigned
  • Must complete training modules during a facility-led orientation
  • Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house contractors must be separated from the health system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Team-oriented environment with shared call responsibilities
  • RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview
