Lab Technician

About the Job Lab Technician

Lab Technician needs 1 years experience as a lab technician or other retail packaging field in a manufacturing environment or a bachelors degree in a technical field like Packaging Science with 0-3 years experience

Lab Technician requires:

32 hours

Must be familiar with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with CAPE, Artios, and CAD is a plus, not required.

Self-starter, able to work on own and small teams, seeks out new work and responsibilities is important.

Ability to manage time and multiple activities is

Lab Technician duties:

Involves active movement doing different activities, can involve setup/repair of small equipment, filling/capping/labeling of bottles

Participate and lead testing of package components and materials

Work with suppliers, Package Engineers, Package Testing Engineers, and cross functional team members to drive projects to completion

Assist in the design and development of project-related packaging components

Assist in the initiation and coordination of plant trials usually by helping to create the trial documents.

Creation and maintenance of package testing plans *

Assist engineers on Sustainability metrics development and product benchmarking studies usually by gathering data on packaging in market now, or new packaging examples.

Require some lifting of cases (up to 35 lbs) for the testing. About 20% of job is doing this type of testing.

Support Package Engineers to includes coordination of line trials, documentation, and reporting.

Manage the stability testing and qualification of new bottle blow molds in their formulas.
