Clinlab.AI is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Sr. Medical Lab Technician to join our team. We empower Physician Office Laboratories to provide the same high-quality care that leading reference or hospital labs offer nationwide, right within the Physician Office itself. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering Accurate Results, Speedy Feedback, and Efficient Operations. Responsibilities:

Team Player:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing a positive and empathetic understanding to all physicians and their staff.

Consult with clinical laboratory scientists for technical decisions concerning testing when necessary.

Collaborate with the Lab Staff and Office Staff to ensure timely and accurate testing.

Travel to neighboring labs to provide support and coverage as needed.

Perform clerical functions, including data entry, record maintenance, answering phones, and generating reports.

Maintain office records and equipment in an organized and efficient manner.

Complete additional tasks as required to support laboratory objectives.

Sample Prep & Testing:

Collect patient samples (blood and urine) from draw stations and bring them to the testing room.

Accession patient samples into the LIS system and perform positive patient identification in reporting systems.

Conduct sample preparation as needed for various specimen types, following laboratory SOP.

Process specimens for referral to reference laboratories as required.

Possess comprehensive knowledge of all laboratory tests offered, specimen requirements, and proper handling, transportation, and storage conditions.

Run lab tests, including Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Molecular, and others under the supervision of the CLS.

Store specimens appropriately before and after testing, following SOP, and dispose of specimens as instructed by the CLS.

Laboratory and Compliance:

Assist in the preparation and storage of reagents, controls, and calibrators.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, document activities, and make minor repairs. Notify appropriate personnel promptly for complex repairs.

Document all activities, including preventive maintenance logs, instrument checks, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.

Perform temperature checks and record data for refrigerators, freezers, and room temperature storage areas.

Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Supply and Inventory Management: Monitor the laboratory's supply and inventory levels on a daily basis. Ensuring an adequate supply of necessary materials and reagents is vital to the laboratory's smooth operation. Your proactive approach will contribute to uninterrupted testing processes.

Qualification Requirement:

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related life science.

5+ years previous experience in a clinical laboratory or related work environment preferred.

Familiarity with CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements is a plus.

Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Must have exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to set priorities.

Demonstrated Proficiency in computer skills and experience with a laboratory information system
