Job description

Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Rocky Hill, CT Work Model: Onsite Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Compensation: $22.00/hr Type: 12-month contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Responsibilities

  • Dispensing adhesives
  • Bonding parts
  • Testing bond strength & physical properties
  • Evaluate, collect, and record data
  • Participate in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook
  • Computer data entry including charts and tables for communication of project results and details
  • Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices
  • With guidance, candidate will be expected to follow safety protocols and lab best practices while working with chemicals and lab equipment
  • With guidance, candidate will be expected to follow quality protocols according to SOPs and ISO 17025:2017
Requirements
  • Candidate should be a fast learner, team player
  • Have good note taking skills and communication skills
  • The position involves repetitive movements with hands, attention to detail, and being safety conscious
  • Mechanical aptitude is plus
  • Good report writing skills
  • Microsoft Suite experience
  • Other attributes will include proficiency in project management, critical thinking, problem solving and handling adhesives and other chemicals
  • The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day and the ability to lift at least fifty pounds
