Niagara Career and Technical Center- Sanborn, New York
The individual will provide skills training and supervision in the clinical and/or laboratory setting for high school students preparing to be an emergency medical technician (EMT). This position is responsible for providing psychomotor skills instruction during practical lab sessions in accordance with current New York State guidelines and protocols and to support training course curricula. The ability to work with and train a diverse population, the ability to speak in front of large groups of people, and the ability to develop, prepare, and present information are required. The individual must be able to operate computers and be able to physically perform the duties of the position. The individual must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher for at least one (1) year. Currently certified as a NYS Certified Lab Instructor (CLI), or NYS Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC), and currently active with an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency. The individual should have or be eligible for certification upon hire. It is anticipated that an individual would qualify for certification with successful completion of fingerprinting and three workshops. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change. Approximate salary range of between $20.00/hour and $25.00/hour.
